東京→新大阪駅までの新幹線料金は、約13,000円/片道。
新大阪駅から、集合場所のフェリーターミナル駅までは、約400円かかります。
東京→鹿児島までの飛行機料金は、往復で約33,500円です。鹿児島空港から、集合場所の鹿児島市内までのバスは、1,200円です。
東京→鹿児島まで新幹線で来るのは、時間がかかり、運賃も高いので、すすめません。

Bullet train from Tokyo station to Shin-Osaka station is about \13,000/one way. Local train from Shin-Osaka station to Ferry terminal station will cost about \400
Air fare from Tokyo to Kagoshima costs about \33,500/round trip.The bus fare from Kagoshima airport to Kagoshima city(meeting place) cost 1200 yen.
We don't recomend you to get bullet train to Kagoshima because it takes long way and expensive.

B．東京から鹿児島、もしくは、東京から大阪まで、どうやって行く事ができますか？　
　　How can we get to Kagoshima, or Osaka from Tokyo?

集合場所までの道は、いろいろな方法があります。
私達が、一番にすすめたいのが、大阪まで、電車で来る方法です。一番分かりやすいし、フェリーの中では、世界中から来た参加者たちと、会う事ができます。
他の方法が良ければ、①速く行きたい　②安く行きたい　のどちらかを選んでください。
速く行きたい場合は、飛行機で鹿児島へ来る事ができます。

安く行きたい、または、自由な旅が大好きな人は、普通電車を乗り継いで来る事もできます。JRの各駅停車や快速の電車（夜行列車も乗れます）に５日間（もしくは５人）乗り放題の切符、「青春１８きっぷ」を使えば、安く来る事ができるでしょう。値段は１１，５００円です。もちろん、時間はたくさんかかります。しかし、電車の旅が好きならば、東京から大阪まで２日間くらい時間をかけて来るのも良いでしょう。東京から鹿児島へは、３～４日かかります。ただし、電車の時刻ははとても複雑なので、JRの時刻表（ぶ厚い）を買い、ハプニングがあった場合、時刻表を自分で調べることができないと大変です。このきっぷを使う人は、留学生課などで、良く話を聞いてみましょう。

時間がかかりますが、その他には、夜行バスや長距離バスを乗り継いで来る事もできます。旅行会社などで聞いてみると良いでしょう。

There are several ways to get the meeting place.
We recomand you to get train to Osaka, then come to "Ferry terminal station", the meeting place.
It is easiest and you can join other participants from the world on the ferry boat.
If you want to find other way, please choose ①the fastest way or ②the cheapest way.

If you want fastest way, you can get on airplane.
If you want cheapest way, and you love free traveling, you can get rapid train and local train. 5 days (= or 5 people) free ride ticket for JR local and rapid train (include night train), called "Seishun 18 kippu", costs only \11500. Of corse it takes long way, but if you like travel, you can enjoy 1 day or 2 days trip to Osaka. But, the train line is so complicated, so you have to buy JR train time table book(its very thick), and look up the line and transfer timming. If you really like long trip, you can enjoy 3 or 4 days train trip from Tokyo to Kagoshima. Please ask well at the person of foreign student department and understand well about this ticket.

In addition, night bus and long-distance bus are available, you have to change some buses to Kagoshima though. Please ask it in travel agencies.

乗車券で乗ることができる電車は、普通電車（各駅停車の電車や、快速電車）です。新幹線や、急行電車など、速く走る電車に乗る場合、特急券を別に買わないといけません。これが特別料金です。
つまり、東京から、鹿児島中央駅まで、各駅停車や快速の電車を乗り継いで行くなら、乗車券で来る事ができます。しかし、１日中電車にのって、３日はかかりますね。新幹線や特急の電車にのれば、乗車券＋特別料金で、トータル２８，５４０円かかります。　

乗車券 is only available for local train and rapid train. But if you want to get faster train, like bullet train, express train, you have to pay extra charge. this fare is 特別料金. If you want to take bullet train and rapid train from Tokyo to Kagoshima, you have to buy both 乗車券 and 特別料金, the total amount will be 28,540 yen.

申請書は、郵送してください。写真と国民健康保険のコピーを同封するのを忘れないでくださいね。

We'd appliciate if you enclose the application form, pictures and copy of your National health insurancee card and send them by MAIL.

E．国民健康保険証を持っていない人も参加できますか？　
　　Is the person who doesn't have National Health Insurance allowed to participate in this programme?

　短期留学のため、国民健康保険証を持っていなくても、海外旅行保険などに入っていれば、問題ありません。申込書に、他の保険に入っている事を書いてください。

There is no problem if you have another insurance like oversea insurance which covers hospitalization and accidents. Please mention it on the application form.
